And so to Milton Keynes and Mercedes-Benz where Biglorryblog has dropped in to seek some help from Simon Wood (all-round good egg in the truck and van PR dept.) who's assisting me with a photo shoot. As I wait in the reception my gaze is naturally taken by this smart new Axor 6x2 tractor in the colours of a 'certain supermarket.' (I'm told it's part of the latest batch of Merc tractors ordered by the big 'T'......) That'll make a nice pictue for the blog says I, but not half as interesting as the registration plate below...
Special plates for Tesco tractors? And why not. After all, I'm told that Tesco does run some 2,500 Axors now....anyway here's a picture of Simon helping me by pretending to do a driver's daily walkaround/check...nice jacket Simon...that's what I call HIGH visibility.
Now click through here all you 'Moggie' fans....
And here it is the magnficent Unimog U3000 which just hapened to be sitting in the compound where we took our pictures..and dig the crazy flotation tyres..must be an agri-spec moggie!

As a lorry driver with over 40 years experience, I have to say the Axor is the worst truck I have ever driven in my life! Whoever designed this cramped piece of junk should be locked up in it for 12 hours a day for a week. Maybe next time he, or she, would get it right! I feel sorry for those eastern Europeans who do distance work in them.
