Transporting BIG boats by road...that's the way to do it in South Africa says Biglorryblog....

Ahoy there ship mates! Dennis Child, Biglorryblog's mate in South Africa who also, as general manager for ROTRAN Multi-axle, has the best toy set in the world has sent me these shots taken by Robin Nezar from Cape Town (thanks for these Robin). Dennis tells me: "Good Morning Brian, bad weather in Cape Town washed up two fishing boats onto the beach. ALE/LASTRA came to the rescue!"

I'll say and what a great selection of shots including the top one on of the Mercedes Actros 3353 6x6 working in tandem with the Daf XF95 to haul one of the unfortunate craft on a massive modular low loader...and the picture above shows the recovery operation on one of those beached craft... just getting it 'upright' must have been a job in itself...

And here's a shot from the 'stern' (ooohh...get you Biglorryblog getting all 'nautical') What I like about this is that ALE/LASTRA found ther time to ensure their name was on the back so everyone knew who was doing all the hard work--and why not?! Now click through here for one more monster boat moving shot...

And here's the ballasted Daf XF95 on its ownsome --  great pictures Robin and thanks too Dennis for passing them on to BLB!
