Wonderful White trucks on Biglorryblog. Only the 'Brochure King' can deliver the goods like this!

I have been negelecting 'The brochure King' aka Richard Stanier---who sent me this stuff and I carefully saved it on a memory stick and have only just found it again! Sorry Rich. Anyway it follows on from previous blogs on the wonderful White and he says: " I thought I would submit some more offerings for the blog too. Now we often have Whites on the blog, but from memory these have always been the Road Commander 2 models that we are familiar over here with from the late 1970's (although I don't recall ever having seen a high roof version like the one John H submitted)."White 7000.jpg

Rich goes on to say: "However I have dug out an original Road Commander (not "2") [pictured at the top] from the very early 1970's and by contrast the model that preceded that too - the 7000 series from the 1960's. [That's it above BLB] At this point White were also producing the 1600 Model that was a low cab forward truck which evolved into the Road Xpeditor, an updated version which is currently produced by Autocar (and again featured on your blog)."

And what a great looking bit of kit too Rich--a bit like a yankee F86 Volvo! Now click through here for more...

Finally Rich says: "I have attached a classic shot of the Road Commander 2 in "American Dream" mode. Hope you like 'em!" Superb BK--next time I won't hide them away like squirrel nutkin..or should that be 'nutcase'?
