AtkiPete Lynch has kindly sent me a charming selection of International trucks from Oz---with new a young thruster and a couple of, let's say 'more mature' classic old-timers including this one above. I just love the massive air cleaner, although it might also be a coffee percolator or even a fire hydrant....

Pete says: "Keen-eyed readers will notice a Pommie engine in one....." So which one is it? Well I certainly know that at one time in the 60s International Trucks were made at an IH factory in Doncaster--but I don't think it's this one.

Or possibly even this one....

And as far as I can tell it won't be this one either. So click through here for one more that's definitely gone off the rails....

This one looks like it's been working on the railroad...but does this have the Pommie engine in it? You tell Biglorryblog.

The first (red) IH has the Perkins Diesel badge on it..so must be that one, right?
Spot on there Froggy, these units came with the option of an R6 Perkins but this one has been fitted with the big 6-354. How much power does a driver need! The aircleaner had to be moved "outdoors" to enable this change.
Now Old Vic is still on board an Air New Zealand Tiger Moth en route to Australia so there is a good chance of someone else picking up a pie here.
You had better watch out, Old Vic's arrived in Aussie now, and Pete got lost picking me up from the airport!
