It's alright everyone--you can come out from hiding now BIGLORRYBLOG IS BACK IN DA HOUSE!!! And what better way to start that with this picture of a Brazilian VW tractor on steroids with the old G90 cab from BLB's favourite cloggie Iep van der Meer who says: "Hello Brian, hope you enjoyed your vacation! Ever seen a Volkswagen pulling a B-Double? Here it is! Regards, Iep." And you should all ch
And it's not the first time BLB has featured the ubiquitous (and very long-lasting) VW G90 cab atop a big lorry. Not that long ago the Richard 'The Brochure King' Stanier sent me these shots too saying: "It first saw the light of day on the MAN - VW MT truck range, as a development of the VW LT design and in addition to being used by the Brazilian VW company on their mid-weight trucks, they also used it on their heaviest trucks up until the recent introduction of the Constellation." And here's one of Richard's (naturally 'brochure') shots of the VW Titan Tractor of 2005, with a Cummins 6CTAA engine for a gross combination weight of 43,600 kg.

Yes, again via Richard, I can bring you a picture of the Peterbilt Midranger 265 tractor, part of a mid-weight truck range of the late 1980s, again powered by a Cummins C-Series engine. Richard tells me: "Kenworth used this cab too, although both firms have never really seemed to have had much success with European cabover designs, reverting as they do to normal control models." Do any other BLB readers have any other VW G90 truck/cab pictures---and not as a VW!
