Considering that most of todays' postings on Biglorryblog have been rather wordy I thought it was time we had a few nice truck pictures. And Nick Garlick has sent me these and says: " Hi Brian, took these a couple of years ago for M Lacey of Grampian International when the truck was new. Nice for the blog? Regards Nick." I think so Nick and nice bit of framing, wide angle distortion and a touch of tilt if I may say so...
Meanwhile, I quite like this one too--it's of one of Bristol-based Paul Brown Transport Services new Mercedes Axor 26-tonners. Supplied by Avonmouth dealer Commercial Motors (South West), the Axor 2529s are fitted with highly specialised bodywork by AG Bracey, of Bristol, and are working on a contract for multi-national gas supplier A-Gas (UK).

Again there's a nice bit of framing here, with a relevant background and foreground...but why the blue Chep pallets and the dome thing coming out the top of the truck---I'd have photo-shopped that dome out at the very least. Still the driver is 'doing' something which always helps...now click through here for a couple more.
One more from Nick...

See what I mean about that dome thing behind the cab? And those blue pallets. It's all about detail. And with the driver in the cab nothing's happening either..What do you think?

Brian. It's good to see one of Paul Brown's trucks represented on BLB. Paul came to me straight from school and I was proud to have him as an employee and protege back in the early/mid 1980s. Of course I am even more delighted now to know that he has built up a successful business with 25 trucks, albeit Mercs and not Volvos! Nevertheless, well done Paul and Congratulations!
