Biglorryblog has contacted by James Brown (no dear reader not THAT James Brown, nor indeed the former editor of 'Loaded') rather somebody far more important, it's James H Brown bos of specialist bodybuilder and custom trailer maker WH Bence (Coachworks) and check out their site here where you'll see some superb racing car transporters.
But I digress. The reason James has written to me is to say: " My hobby is motorcycling and whilst traveling to Chester earlier this year to join up with two old friends for a Scottish tour I came across a lorry on it's side."
James goes on to say: "The attached photos show the truck being put back on its wheels. I thought your readers would be interested to see how vehicles are recovered from this sort of situation."
And here we see it rising slowly on the strops and the airbags....
Now getting closer to the tip-over point...
There now, back on its feet again.. And click through here for more...
Naturally I am concerned about the driver's welfare and, as usual on BLB, if he person involved suffered a serious injury let me know and I'll take this post down. Hopefuly he was wearing his seatbelt...
Meanwhile, James tells me: "I don't know what happened to the driver as he had already been removed from the scene when I arrived. There didn't appear to be any other vehicles involved so I can't imagine his injuries would have been life threatening. [Let's hope not, BLB] The pictures were taken in June of this year."
And that's that...and I trust the driver made a speedy recovery..

Looks like an Irish registered Scania. Hope he was ok. A few years ago a TNT M.A.N tipped over in Bristol, trapping the driver. While trapped, someone reached in and stole his wallet and took his watch off him. Scrotes.
Over here in the USA, there's a reality series called 'Wrecked' that follows the daily activities of the O'Hare towing company in Chicago. They normally have one of these recoveries every episode and their bill for righting a truck? $8-10,000 thank you very much. They have some real nice gear.... http://www.oharetowing.com/heavyduty.php
