Remember Biglorryblog asking you for more information about the Mercedes 'Trust' Actros? Well one of my BLB 'Spies' (no names no pack drill) has come up with the goods and these pictures too. "What you're looking at is 'S MB 1860'," he says, "It's a one-off special Actros 1860 'Trust Edition'. The name comes from a German ad campaign (and in other parts of Europe too, I think) where the slogan is "Trucks you can Trust". It was built as a showpiece for this year's IAA in Hanover."

Showpiece at hanoover...geddaway! I was at hannover and I certainly didn't see this. You're having a Giraffe aintcha! (Sorry I came over all 'East Enders' then...) The_Brand_New_Mercedes-Benz_ACTROS_''Trust_Edition''_(5).jpg

Anyway, my man goes on to say "The vehicle features an unbelievably top spec' interior, put together by a company called Proceda, a German style, design and prototype specialist who hail from Weissach, 20 kilometres west of Stuttgart. Amongst the goodies is a Bordeaux red leather interior, chrome trim, as well as a painted dash and door inserts. M-B say the interior was finished to 'the absolute highest standard'." Hmmm Bordeaux eh...? I don't mind if I do.

Meanwhile, apparently, according to rumours, Proceda upholsterer Stefan Jörg used a special sewing machine to produce the stitching for the distinctive honeycomb design on the seats! The same bloke, I understand, was responsible for the carpet on the engine tunnel and the floor mats (has he never heard of Axminster?). The_Brand_New_Mercedes-Benz_ACTROS_''Trust_Edition''_(9).jpg

Colour scheme wise, M-B says the green and red hark back to strong historical links. I don't doubt it..meanwhile click through here for more....

Well you certainly can't complain about the interior...although my all-time-favourite Actros had a yellow-and-black trimmed leather interior (what is it with those Germans and leather eh?) which was like riding on an enormous angry wasp!

And a big-up to those Crazy germans for such a stonking special edition artic...and I wonder what you'd call the finance package for it...a Trust Fund?
