Bob Tuck (who tells me off something rotten if I spell Scammell wrong) sends me these pictures and says: "Brian, got quite excited when I opened the blog to read first about Andrew Cooper's old Crusader and then about Jerry's input on this fine figure of a Watford built model. Being so old, I don't get excited too often so it's a notable time for me."
Bob continues: "Dug these images out from a year or two back when I did a feature on Mike Ogg's wreckers up on Speyside. He'd had the AEC Militant for a few years and was looking to move it on because it was a bit numb, but it was still nice enough to shuffle round the yard. However, the star of the show was the EKA Crusader. Oggs had given it a silver paint job to show their pleasure but it was driving it down Speyside for a few miles that was so good. The sound of that Rolls Royce 305 - I think - Eagle is still reverberating round my ears. Magic. Bob." Now click through here for another view of the 'Silver Crusader' sounds like a comic book hero!
Mighty fine wrecker, Bob.

Great shots of the two wreckers, what magazine was the article in as i missed that. Also, any history known about the Scammell as there are 2 more of the same spec around this area. Elgin ruck & van have NSK 316T and Brinick Transport Services in Inverness have NSK320T, the reg plates suggest Caithness origins?
Cheers
