I'm dreaming of a White Christmas...or at least a White Constructor says Biglorryblog!

Mike and Julie Blenskinsop in France (and cross-channel Biglorybvlog contributors have sent me this rather splendid Chritsmas card and to say: "Best wishes to all. The greetings with this White wrecker should cover just about all continents! It's called 'No Problems', although only an optimist would suggest 2009 will be without them. Mike and Julie." Thanks M&J and a Happy new Year to you both. On the bonnet is the name 'White 'Constructor'---a new one for me. Anyone else heard of it? Was it simply the heavy rigid/tipper/off-road version of the Road Boss?

The Construcktor (and that's how both White and Autocar spelt it, with a "K") was a heavy duty off-road dump truck.

For those with sharp eyes,Constructor is actually 'mis-spelt as 'Construcktor' on the chrome badge, obviously a play on words , but interesting all the same.

This truck belongs to Halls Automotive on the Isle Of Sheppey in Kent, the owner has had it for over 20 years. It's always been a wrecker as far as I can remember. Drove past it the other day, looks like he's stretching the chassis for some reason
