Peter Beaton sent me an e-mail just now that starts: "G'Day champ, just a quick question if you would, my son and I have a' 79 [White Road] Boss and we've just put a 54inch sleeper on her,(she's in top condition) she's about to go to work after a 6 or 7 year spell, what do
you reckon the market value would be? or could you tell me where I
could find out? Cheers Peter."
Well my response to Peter was 'Send me some decent pictures and I'll post it up on Biglorryblog as I know plenty of people who should have some idea...' Right Pete, Vic, Rod, Howard, Cam et al...?!
Anyway Peter's e-mail address is plbeaton@bigpond.com and I'm sure he'd welcome your thoughts on the value of his Road Boss ..,or where to find someone who does know...now click through here for one more...
And heres' the sleeper box before it was added on. let me know how it all turns out Peter.

$50K or more to a White enthusiast but the market for used trucks is stuffed at the moment. Old enough to qualify as a vintage truck in Australia but still capable of doing a good weeks work no doubt.
All the ones around here have been pretty cheap,I`ve seen them go for between $5,000 and $30,000,depending on condition. The ones with Cummins motors seem to get a bit more,I think Duce`s had one up there with a 3406 CAT for $30,000 and it was a nice truck, and Select Trucks had one with a 350 or a 400 Cummins for $25,000.Deals on Wheels or their website www.truckhub.com.au is probobly a good indicator.Looks like you`ve got a nice truck
I like them but that two stroke is a dollar buster classic truck $25.000 seems to be the mark around here and come the 2010 those non computor engines are junk pretty much but so is running the road If ya like it keep it looks like a nice old White they dont make them any more Shame!! Huh
