There's nothing quite like a Cloggie Kipper says Biglorryblog and what a big Dutch bruiser this is! And with a welcome breath of fresh-air BLB's travelling cloggie Chum Tim de Jong says: "Hi Brian, crisis or no crisis, life goes on. So here we have two Scania five-axle rigids with some special features. The concrete mixer is the most exotic of the two, featuring a 10x4 axle configuration. The engine is a 420 hp EGR one and this mixer also displays Scania's new G-cab. There's an Opticruise autobox and a Scania Retarder. The mixer contains fifteen cubic metres of concrete maximum." Enough to make a 'hardened criminal' out of all of us I'd say...Tim adds: "Rouwmaat's been a long standing Scania customer and if the truck can be kept simple, than please do so, hence why the Rouwmaat family prefers EGR-technology." Now click through here for another one...

Tim continues: "In the same eastern part of The Netherlands, familiy owned haulage company Steentjes chose a five axle Scania as well. Their 10x4 chassis displays rear axle steering, to, as they say in the movies, be able to come out of a tight spot. The Steentjes truck has a GVW of 46 tonnes and will be used for transporting asphalt. Steentjes also chose a retarder to assist the brake system in taming the 480 horses. regatrds, Tim" Thanks mate and once again I find myself saluting the Dutch--they're NOT afraid of heavy trucks! Next time you have a maga tipper test Tim, make sure I'm invited!
