Graham Bellman is a man after my own heart--when faced with the challenge of new technology he keeps it simple. Indeed he's sent me this picture and says: "Hi Brian, following on from Andrew's (Cooper that is) picture of JR's yard, I thought you might like to see this, taken at TNT HQ Ramsbottom, Lancs around 1978/80 when TNT ran a large number of Marathons with Rolls 265L engines. I would send via the blog but can't seem to attach the picture!!! Dohhhhhh...cheers GB." No sweat Graham and good picture too---you can also see alot of the TNT main depot at Atherstone from the A5--how do I know that? Because CM's roadtest route goes past it! And MIRA is just down the road...(my wife thinks I've been having an affair with a girl called MIRA for years!)

tnt at atherstone, aaaah memories, as my good friend graham bellman knows only too well is where i in my f88 collected graham many times for a good weekend away in "andrew's van" as the long suffering mrs. cooper called it.tnt eh, graham you kept that quiet mate, you didn,t mention that you once worked for them......................much!
Hi Brian.
Having read your comments ref Graham Bellmans photos, when you pass the TNT Hub at atherstone, give us a toot,we may wave. You may remember me from the fuel economy tests that you carried out, which started and finished at TNT Atherstone, these were the days when smoke was allowed to emit from the exhausts, anyway keep up the good work on the website,i need something to offset eastenders and coronation street.
Have a good year
John Hodges@TNT.
Hi John, still down the VMU at the PBC then, the photo was lifted from Mick Seels office in Stubbins before I left....dont tell him eh!, after the Marathons came the Sed Atki 400s, again with rollers in, good to hear from you. GB
Andrew, yes remember the first trip in GFC 500N, recall standing on the A5 bridge waiting like the train driver from Buster!, what a cracking weekend we used to have 2 nights out , lads od silly chatter, and a night on the town in Carlisle, when a poor soal in a wheelchair feelout outside the kebab shop,LOL,I can believe we spent £38 on kebabs...and that was in 2002!
