Andrea Bucci, Iveco UK's marketing director tells Biglorryblog: "In the current climate any saving for a road transport operator will be a welcome benefit, and we hope 1,000 litres of free fuel will get their new Stralis or Trakker off to a healthy start. Andrea continues: "Combined with the added incentive of purchasing and registering a Euro 5 vehicle ahead of the 30 September 2009 Reduced Pollution Certificate deadline, operators will also be eligible to receive a discount of £500 per year in Vehicle Excise Duty for the duration of the vehicle's life. Over the course of an average five year life on the fleet, this equates to a saving of £2,500 per vehicle - on top of the free fuel bonus," he adds. Hmmmm...not bad, not bad at all...
