Continuing the popular Biglorryblog theme of the 'Top 10 bridges you should drive over in a 10 truck before it's too late...' I was struck by this one which seems a modest affair yet it looks very familiar to me...only I just can't pinpoint it.  Seeing that the picture came to me with a Shell Rimula press release about how Owens Road Services in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, has switched its choice of lubricant to Shell Rimula R6 LM 10W/40 oil for its entire fleet of over 300 commercial vehicles it's got to be in Wales--but whereabouts? And if it's a motorway how did the snapper manage to get it from the hard shoulder? Answers please BLB anorak army---and click through here to see why Owens swtiched to a more expensive lubricant--and saved time and money.

Shell tells me: "The fully synthetic premium oil will cost the European haulage company over 40% more than the cost of the Shell Rimula Super FE product previously used but the technological advances in the new lubricant's design means that Owens will be able to increase vehicle oil drains by an average of 47% across its fleet, thereby leading to less downtime for its vehicles and reducing maintenance costs and demands on the workshop."

"The big thing for any haulage company is keeping the fleet out on the road where they are working hard for our customers and earning their keep," explained Meirion Davies, Owens Fleet Manager. "This new oil means that we can adopt an increased oil drain period of 90,000km, up from the current 60,000km so we need to pull them off the road less." And when they're on the road tyhey've a better chance of earning some money reckons BLB!

i would be astonished to hear that this bridge is on the m4.it looks to me just like loughour bridge in west wales, which is very very near to owens' home town of llanelli.the only fly in the ointment is the large white pier behind the fh,as to my knowledge loughour bridge doesn,t have any of them.owens' website has several similar pictures of this bridge.computer imagery perhaps?
