Now here's an ancient 'Stobbie' to start the day with...I wonder when this was taken? Anyroadup word reaches Biglorryblog that this Thursday (19th Feb) on ITV4 at 8:pm you can see 'Eddie Stobart: Smart Truckers' which I am told, via the website of The Cumberland News,"...is a TV programme that goes behind the scenes of trucking giant Eddie Stobart on national TV.The show depicts the fascinating world of high-pressure commerce as the business partners deal with a whirlwind of tough challenges..."
"What you see is what you get" says Andrew Tinkler who, I'm told, tells how he started life with a £500 van and now travels by private jet (well don't we all?) "I started out with £500" he tells The Cumberland News "...and everybody else out there has the same opportunity. We are normal lads who still remember where our roots are. I would still go back there tomorrow," he says. And for what it's worth the show is narrated by Phoenix Nights star Paddy McGuinness
Well be that as it may, nothing quite divides the readership of Biglorryblog as Steady Eddie...you either love him...or...err...you don't. Either way for all those people who keep asking me for a full list of his trucks' names, and whteher they can name one of the Eddie trucks after their wife/daughter/hamster the answer is I DON'T HAVE THE LIST. Indeed, the only way to get it is to join the Eddie Stobart fan club---however, if you click through here you'll find out how.to do it....t
All you have to do is click on this link and it will take you through to the Official Eddie Stobart Fan Club website where you'll find all the details on how to join and the membership benefits including the fleet list....so get clicking!

OK Brian, your problems re not having a copy of the Stobbie fleet list will soon be over. Now you know that you really want one, as we all know that you are, like me, a closet Eddie fan.It will be on it,s way to you c/o T&D in der morgen. Thanks for letting us know about the "Smart Truckers" thing on tv. I doubt that it manages to reach the high standard set by the "Kings of the Road" epic shown only (I believe), in the Border tv area, with an understated commentary by Sean Bean. I am still trying to work out why only 6 of the promised 8 episodes were shown;Perhaps WS and AT, being rather shy and retiring lads, found the fan worship a bit of a burden, and pulled the pin on the show.Enjoy the Fleet List.I know that you will put it to good use; Especially when all your fans start asking you for a nice modern name for their new Baby Daughter. What about "Shai Rianna" for starters?
