It's not only Vic Hungerford whose ben finding ancient D Series Fords  in the land of the Kiwi. Rod Simmonds has sent me this shot and says: "It's a local 'special' D Series with a 6V92 Detroit Diesel in it...sort of Jimmy D Henry!"

Vic Hungerford

There were a number of the earlier D-series with the round headlights sold here with a Detroit 2-stroke fitted from new; they had a raised cab like this one but I think they had 6V71 engines in.
