There's a hole on this website...and Biglorryblog is looking in to it...Now I'm sure that like BLB you've often found yourself wondering how they check out all those blocked drains and pipelines with those clever little remote control TV jobbies....Well obviously you start off with having a decent van to transport all your CCTV kit around with you which is probably why the remote monitoring specialists Mini-Cam www.minicam2000.co.uk has "maintained its focus" (see what I did there?) on a Mercedes Sprinter. The folks at Mini-Cam---which supplies custom-built CCTV inspection vehicles to the pipeline industry--are obviously very busy bunnies as they to take delivery this year of at least one van per month bearing the three-pointed star. The medium-bodied, high-roofed Sprinter 311CDIs will be supplied by Ciceley Commercials, which last year supplied the company with 15 similarly specified units.

According to the PR burb: "Mini-Cam offers vehicles in different models and configurations, from the Mercedes Sprinter up to large capacity trucks. These can be tailored to customers' exact requirements and equipped with the latest in pipe inspection technology, including Mini-Cam's own push camera systems, ROVVER™ and SUPERVISION™ crawler systems, the QUICKVIEW™ zoom camera and DIGISEWER™ side scanning system." And here's one fo those clever crawlers.....Now click through here for more...

Mini-Cam, whose customers range from major utility companies to private contractors working for local authorities, has been using Sprinters for more than three years and boss Nigel Wilson tells BLB: ""It's the ideal size for the job and is probably the best van on the market. It may not be the cheapest 'up front' but its reliability, long service intervals and strong residual values make it very competitive in terms of 'whole-life' costs. Added to that is an unlimited mileage, three-year warranty, which is backed by the manufacturer's extensive dealer network."  Clearly a case of 'hole' life costs....oh well please yourselves...
