AtikiPete Lynch has sent me this rather interesting image of an Aussie International Scout 4x4 and says (in is chirpy Aussie way) "G'day Brian,
I've just been out for a trip with the HCVC gang from Ballarat and came across a few interesting lorries in our travels." Now this got Bigloprryblog thinking about a) the fabulous Adclassix website which has all sorts of terrific US truck ads (you can download large poster vwersions too for a price) at this weebsite http://www.adclassix.com/truckindex.htm
Have a browse as you'll be surprised what you can find--here's one for the Scout.

Changing the subject back to Pete's visit what's this when it's at home....and click through here for a few more shots from Ballarat and a quick pie quiz too.

"Best start with an easy one," adds Pete, "If you have any serious anoraks out there, they might be able to tell us which engine was fitted in this one below."

And if anyone has any shots of the International Scout 4x4 being 'broken' down to its bare essentials I'd love to post them up on BLB... perhaps even the 'Brochure King' might have something? And my thanks to Pete for starting me off on one!

I need more pies .. a two cylinder kinda boxer sort of deal air cooled...crank started Is this the one restored by the blind fellow?? one of two in the shed IHC high wheeler a number got shipped down here 1912 ish era
A "Barrel-Nose" Ford V8 side-valve, about 1939-40, followed of course by a Ford D-series.
And Ray Jay, I've got one of those "two cylinder kinda boxer sort of deal air cooled" vehicles, but it has an electric starter and I use it to get to work every day to drive my International. It's got BMW badges on the fuel tank.
