Vic Hungerford writes: "Hi Brian, it was a bit of a sad day today, in a way. The group of companies for which I work has had Australian Internationals for many years - AACOs, ACCOs, S-Lines and T-Lines and over the years they have gradually disappeared, usually to end up in someone else's colours to carry on working a bit longer. I drove a selection for quite long periods: an ACCO with a Cummins V8 and 13-speed Roadranger, a T-Line with a Cummins 290 and 15-speed Roadranger, an S3600 with a Cummins M11 and 10-speed Roadranger."

"Today the last one owned by the company, this 1996 ACCO 6x2 with an 8-litre 275hp Cummins and 9-speed Roadranger, went off on its last trip for us; it has done over 800,000km usually towing a trailer and is capable of a few more kms yet. We still have quite a number of Internationals, but they are all Canadian models now, 9400i and 7600i, which are assembled in NZ. Regards, Vic."

Am sure the ACCO will be getting around for many years to come Vic. With 800,000ks on the clock it is certainly decison time, do you trade it in or spend $30K maybe more, rebuilding it. That truck can go on forever with parts available from the corner shop.
