Know what this is? Well thanks to Dennis Child who sent the link to me I can tell you it's an Australian Powertrans (check out their site on http://www.ptrans.com.au/) T1250 6x4 prime mover with a ginormous 19-litre Cummins QSK mega-banger which can be rated at up to 750hp and 3,085Nm... It's meant for use hauling multiple trailer road trains up to 275 tonnes over long distances. The cab looks interesting too - it's centrally mounted for best vision too. Anyroadup click through here for more!

Powertrans also makes a whole variety of specialist bulk and dump trailers including powered versions like the one above. (I'm sure I've blogged on their kit behind a monster Kenworth down-under in the past). Their website (where these pictures come from) has all the details on their product line-up which looks pretty impressive.

Here's a shot showing another of their powered trailers and a cabover truck model too.

Here's another picture of a T1250 in action. Powertrans says: "Powerful, robust, the T1250 is the ideal haulage solution for mining and remote infrastructure applicatuions.." and Biglorryblog came well believe it! And my thanks to Dennis for the tip-off.

The centrally mounted cab is taken from the 700 Series of Caterpillar articulated trucks...
