Apologies owed to AtkiPete Lynch for sitting on this terrific stuff. Sorry mate but now I've got a bit of time let's get to it! Pete tells me: "G'day Brian, here is some news and great photos from Murray Langford of the newly-formed South Australian branch of the HCVC ( Historic Commercial Vehicle Club)."

"These shots come from 'The Hills of Adelaide Road Run' our first road run as such, from Gawler, South Australia to Hahndorf and return, about 220 km over the weekend. A weekend of great driving on hilly winding roads with beautiful late autumn scenery. Everyone enjoyed the Run,it has a great future, and will be a bi-annual event."
.
Pete adds: "That old grey Bedford looks familiar, we had one just like it in the Victorian branch. Cheers." And what a great sleection of kit there too Pete! Now click through here for the rest!
Anyone tell me what this is? (For a pie naturally...)
Or this too?
The Boss of Bosses!
Great assembly of little 'uns too!
Now tell me about this diamond in the rough...
I'm sure I've seen this kite marque motor before...
Grunt up front for sure..!
Great White Mustang.

And last but not least a lean green machine...but what is it?

The Langford Spraying Services International looks like a KB5 to me!
The grey Bedford belongs to the named person on the named and photographed person, David Horne, of the Victorian chapter of the HCVC!
The Foden is owned by Frank Latorre... not too much more info on it though from me!
The Boss of Bosses was blogged by yours truly a little while back - and she is a Australian built 1974 Kenworth W-Model (Detroit V12 powered, naturally!)
The black Mack is Dave Walsh's B-87, Cummins powered with the Quadruplex transmission!
The Diamond T was a demo truck from Commercial Motor Vehicles (now known as CMV), Diamond T distributors in Adelaide!
I dont know what these are, as I was up at the Echuca rally that weekend. I think the first ute, with the waterbag is a Dodge or DeSoto but the blue one has got me beaten. Last one, the green truck is a V8 Ford around 1955.
The blue ute is a Ford V8 Pilot which was made in England. They were built from about 1947 until 1951. The utes (called pick-ups) were a pretty rare version of the normal 4-door saloon.
Morris Commercial and Ford Pilot V8
The red-cabbed bonneted truck registered XFW 879 is a Morris-Commercial of the early 1950s. This unit was possibly officially referred to as a "5-tonner" by the manufacturer.
The navy-blue 'ute' registered WXC 499 is a V8-engined Ford Pilot. These were also assembled in Australia at the turn of 1940s and 1950s.
All the best from Poland
Andrzej
And the green White is also Murray Langford's too!
Nice pics, i like your post. I have a Ford V8 Pilot that I have got to sale. It has good condition. In the past it has been owned by a famous boxer.
