Hello... What's one of these? Well it's on a truck and if you click through here you'll see exactly what it does too!

Nick Garlick writes: "Hi Brian, attending a truck show in Holland the other weekend I noticed this camera attached to the arm for a front mounted blind spot mirror. far better than an actual mirror that increases a driver's blind spot [Don't start 'The Boss' of on that one Nick!]. According to the driver I spoke to it has a very wide angle and offers complete all round the front of the truck visibility. A good idea I thought. Regards, Nick G." Well it's certainly more aerodynamic than a mirror. Meanwhile for a pie... Name that truck. And Nick S... Something for the front wing of a Strator perhaps?
Sign of things to come I think BLB. Indeed, the Strator has a forward facing camera - I saw you posing in case there was an in cab recorder - but in fact could a "Black Box" type recorder be next? Recording images on say a 30 second loop prior to a collision (inertia switch controlled); could be useful as evidence. Anybody seen such a thing?
Looks like the way to go, if they are factory fitted the cost should come down.
you can get a recorder like that for cars now, i think it would work better for lorries so i am sure there will soon be one available of there isnt already
Yeah... the thing is a trip recorder. equip nearly all taxi in Japan. Glued in front of the center mirror looking forward, record everything on a SD card (loop can be several hours long). 20 000 yens for private cars even available in gardenning shops, or 2 cookies and a glass of milk on every chinese export website. will add one as soon as I find the Fr@cking power cables for the accessory and ignition position behind my car radio.
