See what happens when you smoke in bed? This must have cost someone's insurance company a pretty penny. dave Webster has sent it in to Biglorryblog and says: "Hi Guys,a mate of mine in Western Australia sent me these photos Is this what you call a "Burn Out'"?

crane4.JPG

Apparently it happened near Port Hedland...and how do I know that (because on one of the shots there's a sign that says... Errr... Port Hedland. What was it before it got burnt to a crisp - that's the question... And now click through here for Mongo the coal hauler!

Coal Hauling in Mongo.JPG

Dave continues: "I got this from a mate of mine who has an operation in Mongolia. He spotted this "Coal Haulier" on a recent trip and sent it to me  Makes our 400-tonners look real big!" yes and I love the 'cold-weather' engine pack... I wonder if it ever catches fire? Great stuff Dave and thanks.

silvester from holland

This is a very interesting photo of a burnt down crane. The photo is very very similar to the ones taken in Holland where 2(!) or maybe 3 of the cranes burnt down. The cranes belonged to 2 major crane companies. The cranes were in their yards hidden by seacontainers. So the picture shows it is happening in other parts of the world. It caught the news in Holland because the wrecks could hardly be removed from the motorway.....

Are you sure it is from Mongolia, the bonnet warmer looks like some sort of Kiwi addition.

"Guess what happened on my way to the site?" is the type of question I dread hearing from my customers. Now, this photo will gives me a visual.

Uh... Thanks (?)
