Would you want to spend two days in this old tat?

The driver of battered Tata has just driven the 170-mile journey from Jaipur to Delhi - and apparently it only took him two days (on account of three breakdowns en-route). That's two days with no air conditioning in triple digit temperatures! Judging by the puddle on the tarmac, I reckon the return journey is going to take even longer.

Hi Will

I have loved your African stories and photos recently! It looks as if that Tata has the same sort of aircon as some of the old trucks I used to drive (GMC, Leyland Beaver etc) i.e. an opening front windscreen, unless it is just the way the sun is shining on the glass. Mind you, I doubt if there would have been very much air flow at the speed it would have been capable of. The same applied to my old Leyland Beaver, actually.
