I have Ron Johl to thank for this selection and he e-mailed me to say: "Hello Brian,
went to  a rally at Potton End near Hemel Hempstead (25/07/09) and as the Marmon was there I just had to take a couple of pics. It would have been rude not to! Also on display a Latil forestry vehicle built in 1950 and I think they were made in the UK."

Now for the pie...what powered the above machine? Clue it was in a 'field' of its own....

Ron concludes: "If anyone is in the Harpenden area there is a rally at the common ,lots of vintage/veteran cars and yes! that Dancer Haulage Marmon  and there Foden which is my screen saver the show starts around 1600hrs. All the best Ron."

Two stroke

The Potton End steam rally was brilliant, not just from the point of view of the vehicles present - but for the fact that it was supporting the local Hospice of St Francis at Berkhamstead which is celebrating its 30th year, this excellent facility and its staff need all the support they can get. www.stfrancis.org.uk
well done to every one who was involved in this event.

I think Ron has forgotten to give you the date for the classics on the common event it is Wednesday 29th July 2009 http://www.classicsonthecommon.com/main.htm

Ron Johl

Whoops!! forgot to say the Harpenden show is on the 29th July.

Ron.
