"Hello Brian," says Damien Brew from Ireland. "You may remember publishing my photos in T&D of Dennehy Transports new Volvo last year. Here's a rather interesting photo for you from my archives. It should be a good brain teaser for your readers and well worth a slice of pie! This was once a Daf 2800 Tractor unit which was converted to an agricultural tractor by a very enterprising owner to take advantage of cheaper road tax and to legally use cheaper agricultural diesel. However, the Irish Gardai (police) eventually advised the owner to destroy the tractor as it was caught speeding at over 60mph! If I find anymore interesting subjects I'll forward them onto you." Cheers, Damien. and I look foward to the Irish Volvo F12 combine harvester too!

What exactly is the definition of an "agricultural tractor"?
Over here we only have one type of diesel fuel, but farmers claim a tax rebate for what is "off road" use. It would be an administrative and logistical nightmare trying to supply two types of diesel to every farm and fuel outlet in Australia.
