A Big dog playing in puddles.jpg

Old 'Two Hats' is at it again and asks: "Can you stand more roadtrains?" To which the Biglorryblog answer must surely be: "Do bears use the woods for a toilet? Anyroadup he says; "The first two pictures show what happens when you add a bit of water to this vast brown land!!" Clearly, the one above is sailing on stately as a galleon....must be a firm bottom as they say.

However, this Superliner appears to be mired in the brown emulsifying stuff... Now click through here for more.

Gary continues: "If you thought the recently-blogged Direct Haul big Macks looked good, how about these hard working dogs - not just hauling heavy weights but some tough going as well!! There's also a challenge in this collection - for those sharp eyed Mack fans, and anyone else that loves other 'spot the difference' changes. The first one is a recent pic of Asset Kinetic's Titan, which has been pulling up to 194-tonne GCM on mine service work in western Oz."

Asset's as it was.jpg

"The second Asset Bulldog pic is the unit as it started life, resplendent with a fine flame job. Look at the grille is the hint... the dog now has a far better view, sitting noticeably higher!! The reason? The original 15-litre has been replaced with a Cummins QSK 19 litre...around 700hp of big bore grunt, making the heavy work that bit easier!! The repower was done by the owner and, believe me, no small job to get that big lump of iron under a normally spacious bonnet....Enjoy 2H!"

Well BLB, you're falling down on the job. You usually say "I'd love to have the tyre contract on that 25-axle road train". They must be paying you too much at CM!

BLB,

Great Road Trains (again!) you might like this video of a Road Train crossing a flooded river on the Stuart Highway:

And when you're bored of BIG Road Trains, what about a couple of R/C model ones:

Regards,

Tachoblog.

Peter Lynch

Our first Mack driver has all the modern conveniences to choose from, whereas the second lad is probably wishing he could get that grader off. I don't think anything short of a D8 would move that lot.
