Fancy a 'European' Yankee Clipper? 'The Boss' has been busy drooling over a few that are for sale in France and he tells me: "Blog Meister, back to proper rigs and as promised a few prices which I have added.Truck Isere Rhone (check out their website on www.american-trucks.fr) is the exclusive importer of Kenworths into Europe and does seem even in these harsh times to be doing rather well.He seems to sell all makes of American trucks or at least those he can get his hands on - there does seem to be a ready market for what I think is an expensive bit of gear but as this small selection of his stock shows they do hold their price well and expensive? Maybe not if the pound wasn't worthless!" And for more harrumphing and loveable curmudgeonliness from 'The Boss' click through...

The old boy continues: "The Kenworth T660 brand new at 145k euros, popular with tipper operators in France and brother G say's it's almost a Foden, well it does look the part and if you can flog it in 10 years for a bit less, that price doesn't seem so steep does it?"

"As for Andrew[Peterbilt]Cooper his 359 might just be a tad more valuable than even he thought. Now as we all know overall length is a bit of problem - but as BLB will confirm I have made a little effort to addressing that problem, planted a seed so to speak and will be pursuing that matter further. But I would be interested if our bloggers in the USA could throw over an idea of the price of rigs across the pond, to compare these with."

"Finally," says 'The Boss', "If you can't wait for decent living accommodation, which every driver deserves, our friend Mick Moody is selling his Longline - a magnificent piece of kit so get along to avoid the rush! Meanwhile, the above mural isn't for sale - unless you want to buy the Routiers that goes with it - 500k, who knows might even be a Warhol? The Boss."

So how do those prices compare with the States?
