I have the 'son of' Biglorryblog's 'Good man in Africa' to thank for this shot... Which provides me with the perfect excuse for a Sunday caption competition..and can anyone explain exactly what this Oshkosh is doing towing this Russian jet fighter? (And for an extra pie what is it?).

Saddam's buried MIGs.

Saddam buried in the sand a fleet of fully-functioning fighters so as to comply with sanctions being monitored by spy satellite. After the invasion, the US received a tip-off and recovered them.

As an aside, the monitoring of disarmament agreements by satellite is why planes stored in Boneyards in the US and Russia are parked so neat & precise.
