Hmmmm... Just right for trying to get around a T-Junction. As ever I have Dennis Child in South Africa for today's unusual heavy haulage movement...

"Note the extended lowbed chassis with steerable axles - some innovation!" Says Dennis... Ahh but what exactly is the load? Click through here for another clue...

I've a feeling that this bit goes on top of the other long yellow bit... So what on earth is it for? Answers for a pie (naturally).

Well I suppose it's a teensy weensy version of what was the skyline of Belfast at Harland&Wolfes shipbuilding yard,an overhaed gantry.Or something you might need to help pick up the bung Scania gave you.

Overhead gantry crane?
it is an overhead crane, large one by the look of it
We are a transport company situated on the East Rand specialising in abnormal loads. This specific loads were taken from Demag Cranes in Boksburg to Richardsbay. On the first picture is the girder of an overhead crane - 35m long on the first extendable lowbed built in South Africa. On the last picture is a 90ton lowbed transporting the crab of the overhead crane.
