Sil van Wanrooij (AKA Silvester from Holland) has sent me these pictures to me. Not sure but I get the feeling they come from Tom van der Enden). Aplogies to Sil and Tom if I've got it wrong. Anyway Sil says: "Hello Brian, the Mercedes museum in Germany isn't the only one with has some nice trucks. The 'Oldtimer' museum De Rijke in Oostvoorne has some too." And here is a selection... And for a cheese and ham toastie what's this and the one next to it?

Interesting cabover fire truck too, I wonder what its model designation is? And is that an Opel Blitz next to it? Now click through here for more...

Here's another fire truck with a three-pointed star on the front...and speaking of which why does the star have three points?

On the right side (left side of the bus) is an Routemaster from London.
On the other side is a French Paris city bus from the thirsties (not sure will find out)
Both vehicles came directly out of service to the museum and are therefor very original.
From time to time i sit is the Routemaster en do : vroem, vroem and steering the wheel (at least try) The small fire engine is indeed an Ople Blitz in a rare fire engine set up.

on left a french renault or berliet paris bus right a double decker routemaster

The green/cream bus is a Renault -- probably a TN4 (or something similar), but might be a TN6. I'd love to see more pictures of it, I have a TN6C in my unbuilt model collection.

1) L series (L332?) and TA Bedford, better known a A series
2) LP 3 series (315?) P = Pullman meaning high class.
3) Gottlieb Daimler had been technical director of the Deutz gas engine factory from 1872 until 1881. At the beginning of his employment there, he had marked a star above his own house on a picture postcard of Cologne and Deutz, and had written to his wife that this star would one day shine over his own factory to symbolize prosperity.
After initially using a cog and then a laurel wreath on earlier models, in June 1909, both a three-pointed and a four-pointed star were registered as trademarks. Although both designs were legally protected, only the three-pointed star was used. From 1910 onward, a three-dimensional star adorned the radiator at the front of the car.
The three-pointed star was supposed to symbolize Daimler’s ambition of universal motorization – “on land, on water and in the air”.
In November 1921, DMG applied for legal protection for a three-dimensional three-pointed star enclosed in a circle. It became a registered trademark in August 1923.
