Master model maker Matthias Ommert from Germany needs your help! Aside from creating such excellent miniature versions of the Titan Actros, complete with chequer-plate mud-wings, he has made all sorts of other heavy haulage models in 1:87 scale. And you can see plenty examples of his handiwork via these links

However, he needs your help and click through here to find out how...

He tells me: "I have a special interest in the MAN TGA/TGX tractors and my
next project is an Allelys truck. For this project I need some pictures
from the new MAN TGX and the paintcodes for finishing the model.  I'd be very grateful if anyone from BLB can help me with pictures of this tractor. I also need details of the signwork on the truck from all sides. Thanks for your help ." You're welcome Matthias and if anyone can help his e-mail address is Matthias.Ommert@zurich.com

And just in case you can't get what you want on the Allelys' truck there always the Collett TGA which recently carried the largest and heaviest one-piece cast component, with a mass of 315 tons, on the roads in England.

And hetre's another shot of it...at the 2008 truckfest at Peterborough...colly08.jpg

Or if that doesn't work how about this one Mathias? It's the TGX V8 680 8x4 tractor belonging to Randolph Transport of Kirkcaldy in Scotland.?

And as is so common with many proud Scottish operators the paintwork on the four-axle TGX is immaculate. And dig the throwaway line about it being 'Just a Toy!" yeh right with 680hp and 3,000Nm of torque it's one hell of a toy!

And this proves it...

And some more shots from the side...

This truck was featured in Truck & Driver not long ago--Tom Cubnningham shot it as an 'Editor's Choice'  Now you can see it in action via this weblink to a BBC video news clip http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/8192758.stm. It's been in action in Wales shifting a wind turbine column...too. And here's one of Tom's shots of the very first TGX 680 V8 heavy hitter to arrive in the UK!

RT_04 BW2.jpg

For the record it was shot by Tom inside a disused warehouse in Scotland when the weather turned nasty.... net result for all to see. Now click on that link to see it working!RT_21 BW2.jpg
