Now this is a CRACKING picture! And meeets all the Biglorryblog 'how to take a nice truck picture' criteria! How so you ask? Well for a start what with the low sun the colours really leap out against the grey gravel background. Then the body is raised on the tipper to create a nice shape, and there's also a driver in the cab too doing something. Add a bit of the old dynamic tilt and you've got yourself a winner. Not sure who took it but whoever did 9/10 (the missing ingredient?) I'd have put the lights on...but hey it's good enough without them! Now click through here to see another and get the full story....

Funnily enough with the body down it's not quite so 'impactful' wouldn't you say? But enough of me. Independent family-run, Shropshire-based haulage company, B Jay Haulage, has taken delivery of this new Renault Premium Lander 410.32 with insulated tipper body, through Renault Trucks Midlands. It's fitted with a retarder and Optidriver + gearbox, the first vehicle of its type to be built on a Renault chassis and was chosen by the company over its usual Scania. And why not...I reckon the Lander eight-legger is a 'sleeper' amongst eight-leggers.

The haul aggregate and tarmac mainly in the local area of Shropshire, but also on a nationwide basis. Shaun Coombes, owner, B Jay Haulage, tells Biglorryblog: "Our usual vehicle of choice has, in the past, been Scania; however we felt that the Renault Premium Lander offered fantastic value for money - it is a high spec., good quality vehicle and we are very pleased with our choice. With the type of work the truck will be undertaking, fuel consumption is an important consideration for us and, so far, the Renault Lander has proved both economical and reliable. Feedback from the driver has been that this is a good quality, comfortable vehicle which handles well, both when empty and fully loaded and that the Renault Lander would certainly be his vehicle of choice over the Scania."

Shaun goes on to say: "We have also found that the Lander is a great off road truck and copes easily with the loose surfaces of both sand and stone quarries. Its automatic gearbox means that it is a relaxing and enjoyable truck to drive, whatever the conditions. All in all the new Renault Lander has proven to be a 'revelation' to our, former Scania, driver and far superior to other vehicles of its type." Soiunds like a match made in heaven.

Keep taking the pills, that pic would have looked daft with the lights on on the rig and dare I say it may just have a tad too much tilt but the second shot is fine. But that's just my opinion.
