"Koff!...Koff!....Koff! Wheeeeeeeeze...Koff!" Ahhh...there's nothing quite like that first fag of the day is there? Nick Garlick has sent me this and says: "Brian,I thought the BLB guys might enjoy these few snaps from the start of the North East coast run. The trucks were marshaled in Gray & Adams yard in Fraserburgh. Although blustery the sun shone and made for nice pictures.Nick." Now click through here for more classic Caledonians!

Well at least I recognise THIS one!

The ERF with the rabbit hutch sleeper and tipper trailer has been restored in the livery of Monikie Granaries, Newbigging, Angus. Don't know who owns or restored this one, but they've made a great job of it. 'Used to see this fleet a lot in the 1970s on my frequent school holiday lorry trips to the Granite City.
Brian,
Call that smoke from the Atki as it wakes up? I remember a yard full of D Series Fords warming up while they were being roped and sometimes sheeted at BRS Amersham way back in the '70s. Now, that really was smoke, certainly more than the sun could penetrate to leave shadows.
Best wishes,
Roy.
A classic C Series ERF, I think, the Gibb's motor! And beautifully turned out it is, too!
The A Seies was previously in preservation in Cheshire, and has an 8LXB under the bonnet.
Can't quite make out the reg on the Borderer, but I think that it is one that was new to Munro of Aberdeen
