Gyles Carpenter offers Biglorryblog this chirpy "Greetings Brian, a couple of Foden stunners from the Pearson family, an S18 8-wheeler flat and an S20 8-wheel bulker, both seen on the recent 'Limestone Run' regards Gyles." And what a pair of bobby-dazzlers they are too!

Bruce Elston

When I was in my early teens I had a large die-cast model of an S18 (six wheeler) with almost identical paint as the Pearsons' but no signwriting. It was a large model, (much bigger than Dinkey) highly detailed in every respect. To gauge the size, a house brick sat nicely on the back! I have no idea who manufactured them, and don't remember any other similar models coming on to the market -probably too good/pricey to be sustainable in those days.
Does anyone else remember them, I wonder?
