I happened to bump into 'Two-Stroke' yesterday who politely told me that he'd seen Biglorryblog that afternoon and had read everything on it. (I think it was a subtle hint that he wanted some new stuff up!) Well cop this lot! From Sil van Wanrooij archives to me and the rest of the anorak army...name those cloggie carriers starting with this little pickup!
Red lorry...and click through here foe more.....
And another red lorry...but what's this one?
OK so it's a DAF..but what model?
And how about this one--and if you're really good name the one on the back!
This one should be easier...
And to finish a nice black and white....so how many did you get?
KROMHOUT
The bonneted trucks on picture 3 from top (a red rigid lorry) and 5 (a green tractor unit hooked to a step-frame trailer) show Dutch Kromhout trucks. Kromhout merged vith Verheul in the 1960s. Two more forgotten manufactureres who deserve more exposure in BLB.
Cheers from Poland!
Andrzej
Well done Andrzej. its correct .
The red one is indeed a verheul/Kromhout.
I know all the trucks but thats not difficult as a wandered round them all weekend....
Thank you, sil!
And the red bonneted van on picture 2 is a VOLVO L-Series from mid-1950s. It looks too small for an L37 model, so it is probably an L36 or an L34.
More pictures of some of the more obscure Volvo models to be found here:

All the best from Poland!
Andrzej
The truck at the back of the green Kromhout is a civilised version of the GMC "Jummy" CCKW-353. Last time I saw this Kromhout, it had an dragline on its trailer.
Verheul and Kromhout did not merge. Verheul bought the truck and bus department of Kromhout, and kept making them under their own name. Soon came own Verheul types. Later, verheul was bought by Leyland. After a big fire, truck production was stopped, unfortunately. Not able to compete wth DAF on the Dutch market. But bus sales were even after that time huge!
