OK so Mark Knopfler's latest album has a song about an Albion reiver. Well I'll see you and raise you as SUPER Reiver says Bigloryblog. And to prove it here's a ad from Commercial Motor from nineteen umptyforth (guess the real year for a pie). Of course in those days if you had a truck to sell it had to be called a "SUPER xxxx" Don't believe me?

Well here's the SUPER Commet from Leyland! And if you need any help with the year of the Albion the ad featured, and I quote, the following line, "..a triple braking system that fully meets the resvied regulations for 1968..." Now click through here for a coloured Comet.

I`m hearing you Brian about the 'super' thing, even Scania where in on it.What surprises me is that none of them had a 'Super Duper', it`s a natural progression isn`t it?

Well its a good song, makes a change from American subject matter in music about the road
