Fangio Van Wynsberghe has very kindly provided some links to some shots of Tractomas heavy hitters on their way to Dennis Child in South Africa. Seen these Dennis? Fangio says: "As I know you're interested in Nicolas heavy haulers, these pics were taken at the port off Antwerp, at the dockside, waiting for to be shipped to South Africa Fangio." However, While BLB was getting the pictures from photobucket I noticed this strange beast... Pictured above and curiosity got the better of me. So what is it? And if it's not one of Fangio's I trust whoever did take it doesn't mind me putting it up on BLB. So come on anorak army get yer thinking caps on... And click through here for more shots of a Tractomas heavy hitter sitting on the dock of the bay!

BŰSSING certainly is the mystery truck in black and white. At a glance its an early 1960s model, and most likely powered by an underfloor diesel engine. I am unable to identify the model. I am guessing it might be one of the LU models that were also called Supercargo and Burglöwe.
BŰSSING were taken over by MAN in 1971 and eventually disappeared. If you look carefully at the badge, you can just about make out the lion that has survived in the current MAN logo.

Cheers from Poland,

Andrzej
