Austin line up 1963.jpg

Welll now we know where this Chinese truck operator got his inspiration from...though Biglorryblog does think he's taken the idea just a little too far.....nine into one doesn't go

And for a pie name the vehicles in the top phto and the year (for a pie naturally). And click through here for an awesome Aussie Scammell....

Clearly bored out of ghis gourd (what with his broken leg) Gary 'Two Hats' Richards has been reaidning his PR phto archives (and with grand rersults for Biglorryblog!). "Hi Brian," he says, "Thought I might add to the recent feature on taking good truck photos - albeit not such on good techniques but the intent. Again, the ubiquitous Mini is the star in this selection of early Aussie photographic achievements - helping the respective photographer get that all important sense of scale and might !!"

Gazza continues: "Perhaps Rufo can identify the Scammell Contractor truck - a Rhodes unit perhaps??. It is certainly a WA produced unit and it must have been a proud moment as it rolled onto the road, judging by the attention it is getting. Cheers Gary." One wonders what the early morning commuter thought of it as he tried to walk along the road....?!.

Dodge in Australia did an add once with about 7 trucks all stacked up, just see if I can find a copy.

Looks like one of those toy Austin A 40's - battery powered I think.
