Mmmm...this looks interesting. Forget your European Iveco Stralis. THIS is what the Stralis should really look like! Yes it's an Aussie Iveco Stralis B-Double with a big 500hp Cursor 13 under the Active Space cab hood, EuroTronic auto and Meritor (yes that's right) double-drive back bogie all ready to run at 65-tonnes with an A and B trailer in back...

Looking good with all those shiny new chrome wheels too...I believe this one took part in a recent  nationwide Aussie tour (maybe some of my Biglorryblog army saw it?) and considering just how big the country is down-under that would have taken a fair bit of time--and diesel to get around it. Now click through here for one more..

OK so it's had a bit of computer-generated 'enhancement',..but it's still a great photo. Now why don't our Stralis' look like that?

Iveco ran that one around Australia last year as part of a promotion. They are allowed up to 68 tonnes gross over 9 axles.

Pete,

This was because the Stralis was face-lifted for the '08 model year!

http://www.greatstralisrun.com.au/ is the site for the run, Brian!

The all-new Freightliner Severe Duty Coronado dump truck on Biglorryblog! was the previous entry in this blog.

Biglorryblog finds a great website of truck photos, wallpaper and screensavers...but which manufacturer does it belong to? is the next entry in this blog.
