Gawd bless 'The Brochure King' Wherenever I ask him for something he never disappoints! And having recently mentioned that MAN used to use 'local badging' from famous, though discontinued, marques in Austria to help sell its trucks he's supplied me with these pictures. First the OAF (nee MAN) Commander eight-legger (built at the old OAF Graft and Stift plant in Vienna which is now used by MAN for it's specials like heavy haulage machines and 4x4s etc).

Meanwhile Rich says: "Hi Brian, just catching up with BLB and saw your request for photos of Austrian trucks. I agree with you that the Steyr grille on the large MAN F2000 (Roadhaus) cab made for a smart-looking tractor unit, and here's a brochure scan of a 19S46, so equipped." Now click through here for more!

Talking of things OAF Rich says: "On going through my OAF stuff, this handsome little Tornado from 1965 also caught my attention to show the company's own designs."

AND in true Brochure King style he goes on to say: "Although quite uncommon, there were some Steyr trucks built with MAN's later TG-A type cab, and I've found one of them too - A heavy duty eight wheeler tractor unit with rear steering. Cheers! Rich." Outstanding stuff Rich and thanks - it proves my point perfectly! And does anyone else have any OAF/Steyr-badged MANs?
With stEyR and oaF in the family it makes the job of changing the TGA to an ECT easy when you have all the relevant letters to fit on your grille ERF
