Looking at Twitter (and you can 'follow' Biglorryblog on said young-persons' communication medium) I notice that Clutchslip has posted up this picture from (I should imagine) the recent Kortrijk Trailer Show. And why would you want to put a container on its end like this...? Well click through here and all will be revealed thanks to BLB...

First place said container on end with rear doors open...

Hookey3.jpg

Then load it right up to the top with all sorts of stuff (like scrap metal here) that you couldn't do easily with the container in a level position...

Hookey4.jpg

Then lhook it back up to your trailer or rigid and away you go... Another Biglorryblog' How it works' in a series of #456,921...

A clever idea to be able to fill them to the back, but I wouldn't want to be the one who has to open it if it's on level ground!

Hmmm, so you end up with it nose-heavy, and these herberts at the scrap metal places have a habit of chucking in heavy lumps that damage the box even more than carrying their horrible cargo in the first place!

Nick Santon

Stupid question but who gets the job of closing the doors then?
