Ola! 'Biglorryblog's Man in Spain' John Ormandy has sent me this...I can just about make out what's happening through the gaps in my fingers that are covering my eyes!  "Hi Brian," says John, "Imagine my mild surprise when I opened the hotel bedroom curtains and saw this.... Luckily, it's OK, as Spain hasn't signed up to the EU Health 'n' Safety division, just the Subsidy & Benefits division! John--now enjoying the EU money I paid in earlier, thanks to Tony & Gordon...".Let's hope he's applied the hand-brake John! Of course the real question is what on earth is he doing...?  And someone should tell him that's NOT what a 'ladder-rack' is used for...

I can tell all from very personal experience, a fall from the top of the second stage of the ladder will break your leg in 3 places...so at the top of the thrid...a neck I suspect !!

I´m a follower since 2007. BLB it´s on my top 5!

I would like to say just three...mmmm...four things.

First: Ola=wave; Hola=hellow ;-)
Second: "EU money"?? (sounds like THEIR MONEY AND OF COURSE NOT OURS)erm...It´s called Euro.
Third: Spain has not what on what of what about health?? You may ask Mr. Obama for the Spanish Health Sistem and workers security (Yes, it´s the one he want for his 230.000.000 people´s country)

Please, as Spanish people don´t confuse English people whith the general idea. (For us, the Typical English man is having tea whith cookies at 5pm, the Typical English guy is a fat, white hooligan and the typical English girl is a...i won´t say that but it´s no good)do not asociate Spain whith Siesta, Paella, Sangría, and people doing Whatever is doing the man in the picture.

Ask The Boss about Castilla, Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Cataluña...and try to find something "Spanish" or the most representative "Spaniard"

It´s not the first post i want to coment this way. The rest of the blog is the Best i´ve found about trucks (and i search every day, because i´m about to buy one)

Best Whishes. ECR

P.S. I´ve been long time whitout speaking any word in English so Scuse me please if i was not correct or if i made any mistake(probably).

Good points well made ECR...I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to using stereotypes..it's the journo in me...so I'll try and avoid them in the future. Meanwhile glad to know BLB still a favourite of yours.

regards,

Brian

Likewise, ECR. I apologise for the generalisations which were intended affectionately & not insulting. After all I am living in rural Spain out of choice & the photo (taken in Jerez) sums up in so many ways why I enjoy living here.
I wouldn't want it any different.
Best wishes
John O
PS: Your English is way better than my Spanish.

Martin Phippard

Shame on you John!
