Renault's Xmas present of new Kangoo and Clio vans

Renault has launched revised versions of its Clio and Kangoo van ranges.

The Clio car which forms the basis of the hatchvan is now into a new generation, but the new Campus model is based on the outgoing model. As well as revised styling, the Clio Campus SL1.5dCi 70 boasts a £640 price reduction from its predecessor, at £8,485. Another £1,100 buys the Sport Pack, and there's a new Pearl Black paint option for £250.

The Kangoo also gets attention with minor restyling and improved equipment levels. The Euro 3 engines are now dropped, leaving 75hp and 90hp (auto only) petrol engines and the 1.5dCi turbo-diesel at 60, 70 and 85hp. The entry level SL model is reduced by £300, with the diesel range starting at £9,550. Another £750 buys the SL+ which adds electric windows and mirrors, side loading door, overscreen and underseat storage, 3-button selective central locking and a trip computer. A new SL19 dCi 70 model with an 800kg gross payload will follow in the Spring.
