I took the Leyland Daf over to my parents' house in North London last weekend where it was used to take a load of rubbish to the dump. (And no I wasn't tempted to leave it there!)
In fact I must admit that I'm getting rather fond of the old girl. Yes she smokes a bit and she certainly doesn't have the perfect body, but she's totally reliable - which is more than I can say for Dylan's heap of French junk. In fact, the way I see it, I'm actually winning the Desperate Van Challenge at the moment. Dylan's Master appears to be knackered and Colin hasn't even found anything yet.
He went to see a 15 year-old Transit over the weekend but walked away because there was some rust on the sill! What does he expect for under £600?
My dad was so happy to have an empty garage again that he agreed to spend most of Saturday afternoon stripping the old owners' graphics off the side of the van for me - which was done with an electric blow-lamp.
They came off surprisingly easily, but of course left a red imprint underneath.
While he was doing that I got to work with the T-Cut. I can't believe what an incredible job that stuff does. The paintwork actually looks new now. Having said that the novelty is wearing off fast and I'm not sure if I can bothered to do the whole thing.
It isn't difficult to see which panels I'm yet to T-Cut.

How big is the back of your van? I might need you to take a Rena.... I mean something to the skip for me.
