OK, so I know it’s not a commercial vehicle, but I reckon its worthy of a place on this blog anyway.
This is apparently a VW Bugeroo, the camper version of the Beetle. The car was photographed outside a garage in Arizona, and the owner told me it’s one of just a handful ever made. However I can’t find any reference to the vehicle on Google. Has anyone got any information?
Toby Clark adds:
I suspect it's actually a Bugaroo, and though I haven't been able to find any more information I did find this Bugaroo/Bugeroo picture (again from Arizona) and this restoration job on eBay (from Hertfordshire, of all places).
Will Shiers adds:
I've got a feeling that red one is exactly the same Bugaroo - just after a dubious coat of paint.

my partner is selling mentioned bugeroo on ebay, it needs a good home/enthusiast as we are relocating. very interesting it is still yellow colour and yes i think the one from the picture in arizona. only 11 made i believe, would be a good project for the guys on Top Gear!
Very interesting info, where did you obtain it please ?

I almost bought one of these in Medford OR in 1975 I think it was, 75 o 76. Anyway, there was a dealership there that had five of them and I was seriously thinking abot it. The one I was looking at used more of the front of the VW then the one in the picture. So I am thinking that company making them used different camper units. The one I was looking at had captian seats in the front, a table/bed, stove and icebox. It was really comfy inside. It is great to see that there is still a picture of one out there.
