Bedford TJs hard at work - Will's Roadtransport Revival

Here’s another Bedford TJ brochure, only this one hails from 1972.
How refreshing to see that GM didn’t cover it with shiny new trucks, instead choosing to show them hard at work. The T Brierley example on the front cover dates back to 1966 while the Charles Wells example looks even older and tattier.
The TJ was offered with a choice of petrol or diesel engine. Both were mated to manual four-speed transmissions (five-speed optional), which according to the brochure both offered a “silky smooth change”. They would presumably have lacked synchromesh on first and reverse?
