More old bonneted Bedfords - Will's Roadtransport Revival

Richard Stanier has dipped into his extensive collection of truck literature to bring us these two great Bedford brochure covers.
The first is for the "AWD - Bedford" TJ Series (from 1988), which still shows the truck in the same mock-African setting - but with an AWD badge posted onto the front.

And this one is for the Hindustan J6, as produced in Calcutta in the 1970's.
"You are right in that all but bottom and reverse gears were syncromesh," says Richard, "and you are possibly right in your point that they are still produced in India because the Hindustan website does refer to 'Bedford Trucks from Hindustan' but they don't actually show a J6".

He says older Bedford brochures often featured the excellent photography of Peter Davies whose love of trucks at work in operator's livery is well known.
