Trucks at war - Will's Roadtransport Revival

A clever bit of late 1940s advertising here from Morris, which is cashing-in on the part its commercial vehicles played in the recent war effort.
“Tropical heat, ice cold start-ups, sand, rain, rocky tracks, dust and mud; and Morris Commercials stood up to it.” In other words if they can cope with these arduous conditions, then British roads in peacetime conditions should be a piece of piss.
Check out the driver lying underneath the truck. Presumably he’s on a well-earned break and is sheltering from the sun. Or is that a Haynes manual that he’s reading?
